We just found out we are having a baby girl, so i am updating how i intend to decorate the nursery. I'm going for a shabby chic look that is both feminine and vintage.
This ribbon is the perfect dusty blue color that i want to paint the walls- I know blues are usually reserved for baby boys but i think this color is fair and delicate enough for a girl to enjoy.

a classic bedding set which includes a bumper,quilt and crib sheet. the combination of rose florals,pink dots and stripes make for a very shabby chic look. I have this bedding on our BabiesRUs registery but if you plan to give this item as a gift,i recommend buying it from target.com- it is cheaper.
The crib skirt is oddly sold seperately, but is a must to complete the look. Only found at BabiesRUs, same for the valance and diaper stacker.
What a beautiful floral pattern! I love the hint of blue- the walls will pick up nicely on it. There is only one small window in the nursery so this should do for window covering.
could a diaper stacker really be thtis elegant? i mean, it holds diapers,haha. But here it is! absolutely precious.

ReplyDeleteNow, I love the curtains, the clips can only hold very sheer panels, so be aware. I especially like the pillows with an initial and the stone birds. I think they would be great as book ends. Everything is absolutely LOVELY :)
Gorgeous - I think the blue bird mobile is my fav "baby" item. It should bring everything together and it'll stand out. Love the little statues too; those will be fun to find and pick out; they have so many everywhere. This adds to the picture I had in my mind - love your bloggin :-)
